Library Access Policy
Visitors, please review the Library Access Policy before traveling to the library.
MARTA
- Take the blue or green (east/west) rapid-rail line to the Georgia State Station.
- Exit the station onto Piedmont Avenue, turn right and walk one block to Decatur Street.
- Turn left onto Decatur. The entrance to Library South is on your left, just after you cross Collins Street. For bus routes, call MARTA, (404) 848-5000.
From the North
- Take interstate 75/85 southbound to Exit 249A (Courtland Street).
- Turn right onto Courtland Street.
- Continue along Courtland Street past Gilmer Street, and after the next student traffic light, turn right into the G Deck parking entrance.
From the South
- Take interstate 75/85 northbound to Exit 246 (Fulton Street/Central Avenue).
- Veer right, following the signs to Fulton Street, and then turn right at the first light onto Fulton Street.
- Turn left onto Capitol Avenue/Hank Aaron Drive and continue straight on Capitol Avenue, past the State Capitol. Capitol Avenue then changes names to Piedmont Avenue.
- Turn left onto Decatur Street, then turn left onto Collins Street. Proceed past lot H and turn right into the G Deck parking entrance.
From the East
- Take interstate 20 westbound to Exit 58A (Capitol Avenue) and turn right onto Capitol Avenue.
- Continue straight on Capitol Avenue past the State Capitol. Capitol Avenue then changes names to Piedmont Avenue.
- Turn left onto Decatur Street, then turn left onto Collins Street. Proceed past lot H and turn right into the G Deck parking entrance.
From the West
- Take interstate 20 eastbound to Exit 56B (Windsor Street/Spring Street/Stadium) and stay on feeder road.
- At the third traffic light, turn left onto Central Avenue.
- Proceed down Central, cross over Mitchell Street and MLK Drive, then turn right into the G Deck parking entrance.
Parking
- Parking is available for $7 per vehicle in G Deck which can be accessed from Courtland Street, Collins Street or Central Avenue.
- Once parked, take the elevator to the third floor and cross the bridge to the Library South building.
- Most of the accessible parking spaces in G Deck are located near the Courtland Avenue entrance. For more information on handicapped-accessible parking accommodations, contact GSU Auxiliary Services at (404) 413-9500.
- GSU students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the general public coming to campus for a GSU event, can park in G Deck for free on Saturdays and Sundays. For free access, use the Collins Stree entrance and see the parking attendant.
