If you already have a citation for a particular article, follow the steps below to find out if Georgia State University Library can provide you with access to the article.
The Electronic Journal Locator
http://www.library.gsu.edu/ejournals
Use the E-Journal Locator to find out if the library provides access to the electronic full-text version of a journal. To use the e-journal locator, you can browse by title or search by entering a keyword from the journal title (a "Contains" search) or the exact title, if you know it (an "Exact" search). After browsing or searching, you will see a list of titles that match your request. Clicking on a title in the result list will open a second window with a menu of links. In most cases the menu will indicate for which years the journal is available electronically. The menu may show you several options for access to the journal such as:
- Links to the online version of the journal
- Links to an online library database where you can search the contents of the journal
- A link to the library’s online catalog, GIL, to see if the library has the journal in print
Article Citation Linker
http://www.library.gsu.edu/citations
Use the Article Citation Linker to find out if the library provides an electronic full-text version of an article. This formrequires you to enter at least a journal title OR ISSN, but you do not have to fill in all fields on the form. Enter as much additional information as you have (date of publication, volume number, issue number, start page and end page of the article). After you submit the information you've entered, a window will open with a menu of links. The menu may show you several options for access to your requested article such as:
- Links to the online version of the journal in which the article appears
- Links to an online library database where you can search the contents of the journal for the article you're looking for
- A link to the library’s catalog, GIL, to see if the library has a print copy of the journal in which the article appears
