"Write Right" @ The University Library
Starting in Fall term 2008, the University Library will provide expert writing assistance from within the Library’s Learning Commons. Writing coaches will be available during high-traffic times to provide constructive criticism, basic grammatical advice, and coaching on the scholastic writing process. While coaches are happy to help you improve your writing, they cannot provide copy-editing or proofreading services. Hours of Service for Fall 2009 (August 24 - December 4):

University Library North building, 2nd floor study room N271 (close to the Research Support Desk)
Students with an appointment must arrive within 15 minutes of the appointed time. Otherwise, the appointment is considered cancelled. Walk-ins are welcomed also, but those with an appointment receive priority.
Vickie Willis
Vickie is a Ph.D. student in English specializing in Literary Theory and Rhetoric. She teaches English 1101 and 1102 and has served as an Adjunct English Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University. From Fall 1994 to Spring 2003 she was a Writing Consultant at both James Madison University and Virginia Commonwealth.
Coaching hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2pm - 7pm

Rahna is a Ph.D. student in English specializing in Primary Critical Theory and Feminist and Psychoanalytic Theory. She has taught English 1101 and 1102 and Studies in Popular Culture 2160. She has a Master’s degree in English with Distinction in Critical Theory from Boston College, where she also worked as a Teaching Fellow.
