Creating Persistent Links A Persistent Link is a URL that points to a specific article that is available online. Persistent links can be used to point to articles in Electronic Reserves, uLearn, or course syllabi. Many databases include a Persistent Link or Stable URL in the citation. Use these if they are available. In order to work with GSU authentication, links should begin with http://ezproxy.gsu.edu:2048/login?url= This can be added to persistent links if needed. Examples of database generated persistent links: EBSCO database: ProQuest database: JSTOR: If the database does not include a Persistent URL in the record for the article, you will need to generate a Persistent URL.
If the article record in the database contains a DOI, you can also use that to generate a Persistent Link using the Citation Linker.
