The purpose of the collection is to support the research and professional needs of the faculty and staff of The University Library.
General Collection Guidelines
- Languages: English is the language of collection emphasis.
- Treatment of subject: Research and postgraduate materials are of primary importance. Selective purchase of how-to-do-it materials.
- Types of materials: Monographs, periodicals, and some audiovisuals.
- Date of publication: Primarily current imprints will be selected.
Conspectus Collecting Levels by Subject Subdivision
- Libraries and Library Science: Includes the areas of reference, cataloging, acquisitions, serials, collection development, library technology, special collections, rare materials, archives, preservation, circulation, shelving, and storage. Collecting Level 3C.
