Self-Check Out

Georgia State University Libraries is pleased to announce that self-service checkout is now available at both Circulation Desks in Library North and South*. This service gives you the opportunity to bypass long lines and check out materials directly with the library system. Self check is easy, quick and efficient.

To use the self check machine, you must have:

• A valid Panthercard (library record cannot have overdue materials or fines $10 or more)
• Materials that are eligible to be borrowed

Follow the simple instructions on the screen, scanning your books yourself. After approving the transaction, the machine will:

• Print a receipt telling you when the items are due
• Desensitize the books so you can exit the building

If you need assistance, a library staff member will be happy to help. Stop by and give it a try!
* Media items may only be checked out in Library South.
