What Is Desktop Article Delivery?

Desktop Article Delivery is a new service offered to GSU faculty.
We provide desktop delivery via GSU email of journal articles and book chapters from the print collection at The Georgia State University Library.

Who Is Eligible To Use Desktop Article Delivery

If you have a Faculty or Professional Administrative status Panthercard and an active library account, then you are eligible for this service. Part-time instructors and graduate teaching assistants are not eligible.

What Can I Request Through Desktop Article Delivery?

What Cannot Be Supplied Through Desktop Article Delivery?

How Many Articles Can I Request?

A maximum of 5 per day.

How Do I Place a Request?

  1. Start with a citation for an article (or book chapter) that is not available full-text through E-Journals (or E-Books).
  2. Search for the journal or book title in GIL, our online catalog.
  3. From the catalog record for the title, determine if we own the specific volume and issue (or book) in print format.
  4. If the University Library has the volume and issue (or book) in print (including current, bound, and storage periodicals), go to http://www.library.gsu.edu/artdel/form.asp and complete the request form online.

How Soon Will I Get My Articles?

Within three business days.

How Do I Access My Articles?

How Long Will My Articles Stay Web-posted?

The system will automatically remove your document after it is viewed five times or after fourteen days have passed since you received your e-mail notification, whichever comes first.
