Georgia State University Special Collections and Archives collects the papers and records of individuals, institutions, and groups and maintains them as primary resources for teaching and research.  Collecting strengths include popular music, Southern labor, Southern history, and Georgia women's history.  Each curatorial area - the Southern Labor Archives, University Archives, Popular Music Collection, Photographic Collections, Rare Book Collection, and Women's Collection - has its own collecting strategy and guidelines.  If you have materials relating to one of these areas that you would like to donate to Special Collections, please contact the relevant collection curator for more information.

Basic support for Georgia State University Special Collections and Archives programs and collections is provided by the University Library and is supplemented by funds generated through grants and donations.  Monetary donations to the Georgia State University Special Collections and Archives can help defray general operating costs or can be designated for one of the various established endowments supporting specific collecting areas and programs.  For more information, please contact the head of Special Collections.
