Donate Materials
The Georgia State University Women's Collection seeks the donation of collections of papers and records from both individuals and women's organizations. It wishes to acquire materials relating to women's lives-both public and private; collections dealing with both historic and contemporary issues. The types of materials sought include correspondence, diaries, scrapbooks, organizational records, photographs, and oral histories. These materials provide insight into the unique roles of women, along with changing attitudes and special problems faced by women. They also document the importance and influence of women's organizations in Women's political activities, specifically in relation to the attempted ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment in Georgia and the Southeast, as well as, feminist activities from the 1920s to the present.
To donate historical materials to the Women's Collection, please contact the women's archivist. The archivist has information available and guidelines for preserving and managing active and inactive records, and can assist in records management planning. When in doubt, don't throw it out!
